How to create and attach a Profile

So, you'd like to share your PRs and running experiences in your signature?

First, you need to create a page to link in. You may have your own family web page or a blog you'd like to link in. Many folks use the standard profile at Interwoven Design. Or, you can create a new page using one of the free website tools out there. Some hosts you could use include MSN Spaces, Yahoo!, or Blogger. Follow the instructions at these sites to create your page and add the info you'd like to share.

Information you might want to share could include: PRs at various distances, future race plans, a picture of you racing, etc.

Once you have the the address or the URL of the page you want to share, you need to link it to your signature. To edit your signature, go to the CoolRunning home page and look for the "Edit your profile" link. Once you click that (you may have to enter your password), click the "Community Profile" button. Then, in the "Signature" field, enter a link to your profile page using "CoolCode".

Let's say your profile page is at http://www.mypages.com/joesmith.htm. You could then put the following code in your signature string on Cool Running:

See My Profile!

If you choose to use the profiles at Interwoven, you can also visit this page of instructions which has information about adding your profile. There's also an index of profiles on that site.
